The commitment
Every Falk-Holm product receives security and operational updates for ten years from its date of purchase, not from its date of market release. Spare parts remain available for fifteen years.
This commitment is contractual: it is set out in our terms of sale and depends on no subscription.
How they arrive
The Hub downloads updates at night and installs them between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m., when no presence is detected. The operation takes less than three minutes. If a presence is detected, it is postponed to the following day.
Peripheral devices (cameras, detectors, thermostat) are updated by the Hub, without any action on your part. None of them connect directly to the internet.
What you control
- Postpone an update by seven days, as many times as you wish
- Roll back to the previous version for thirty days, from the Hub settings
- Decline convenience updates; security patches, however, continue to be applied
Cadence
| Type | Frequency |
|---|---|
| Security patches | Within 72 h of identification |
| Operational fixes | Approximately every six weeks |
| New features | Twice a year, in spring and autumn |
| New protocols | As they are adopted |
After ten years
We shut nothing off. Once the commitment period has passed, the installation keeps working exactly as before, locally. What ends is our obligation to release new versions, not your home.
